Air India Reduces Fall India Flight Prices!

If you are looking for cheap flights to India, there has been some great news in the last few days.  Air India will be returning to its full schedule starting next month!  While the re-introduction of its full fleet will not happen in a couple of days, by the end of August, almost all of their flights will be back in operation!

The schedule being brought back to normal is great news for both departure points in Canada, Vancouver and Toronto.  For Vancouver, this will likely mean that Air India will be flying daily from Vancouver to Delhi!  Passengers out East from Toronto can expect Air India to return to its double-daily service, which will substantially increase the number of seats available.

While this has been a difficult time for Air India, the sudden reduction in available planes meant that passengers were scrambling to secure new flight arrangements, and this meant that prices suddenly jumped.  Now that the situation has come back to normal, cheap India flights should be available!

In other news, the Greek National Airline Aegean Airlines has announced that they will be starting service to New Delhi & Mumbai.  They will be using the A321 XLR aircraft, which will provide the range even though the aircraft is a narrow-bodied one.  While this probably won’t have much of an impact on Canada-India traffic, as Aegean does not partner with the big European Alliances, any increase in capacity will always help reduce flight prices to India.

Passengers who are leaving from Toronto and going to New Delhi, the best fare right now is with Air France and Virgin Atlantic.  This relatively new combination, which routes via Paris on the outbound and London on the return, is available for an amazing price of $1279!  While this is only a basic fare, it still includes one checked bag and allows changes, which is a great deal and definitely a cheap India flight.

For those who only want to fly on a direct flight, Air India is available on the Toronto to Delhi route on the same dates for only $1710, which is very low for such a convenient option.  While Air India is $500 more than Air France and Virgin Atlantic, it is a cheap flight to India!

For travellers who are departing from Vancouver to India, the best option remains Air India.  Even though it is the most convenient option, right now it is also the cheapest, with prices departing late in the summer for only $1359.  Prices have not come down to this level in a few years, so if you want a quick visit to India and are able to travel outside of the peak dates, now is the right time to secure a cheap flight to India!
