Black Friday Seat Sales to India Are Here!

For those customers buying a cheap flight to India in the new few months, we don’t expect much change in prices as demand for the few seats available remains strong.  While there is a consistent group of people who are looking for cheap India flights they are having difficulty finding the right price.

Those who want to travel on direct flights with Air Canada and Air India to New Delhi are having the most difficulty finding value for their air ticket to India.  There are other options with a stop that are being added daily that can save you money on your India flights, but customers still have concerns about COVID creating travel problems which is why direct flights are so popular.

One of the carriers that is competing more heavily in the past few weeks is Cathay Pacific.  As one of the strongest carriers pre-COVID for India travels from Canada they are bringing back routes to Delhi and Bombay.  With direct flights to both Vancouver and Toronto from Hong Kong, they are the first airline showing prices consistently below $2000.

Right now, from Vancouver, you can find flights for as low as $1900 and flights from Toronto to Delhi for only $1950.

As customers migrate to this option it may also lower prices for other carriers as they will have to compete with Cathay Pacific.  As more airlines bring schedules back online, this will allow you to find a cheap flight to India.

In other news, the Canadian and Indian governments have made a big announcement that will have an impact on flights for years to come. The two have agreed to remove most of the restrictions on the number of direct flights that can operate between the two countries.  Right now, there is a maximum of 35 flights per day that can fly between Canada and India, but moving forward there is an unlimited number which should allow for the two largest airlines of Air Canada & Air India to add more direct services in the coming years.

While most of the traffic will be between Vancouver and Toronto to Delhi this agreement should allow more flights between smaller cities, like Edmonton, Mumbai and Bengaluru.  All of this bodes well for the future of great connections and cheaper flights between Canada and India.

Customers looking to fly from Toronto to India this winter are seeing a small reduction in price on the direct flight to Delhi on Air India, with prices now starting at $2950.  While most travellers are still opting for the direct service some need to save money and stop where it makes sense.  The cheapest fare in the market right now is with American Airlines via New York at $2250.  As many customers have already booked their flights to India, the airlines maybe are forced to reduce prices as those now waiting on the sidelines have committed to buying a cheap flight to India and are more likely to cancel their plans than pay a high price.

Passengers looking to buy a flight from Vancouver to Delhi on Air India are also paying close to $2950.  These prices have started to come down slowly over the last few weeks as demand for Air India’s direct service to Delhi is starting to slip.  Customers looking to save money have options to stop in Europe and the United States to get a better deal.  Air Canada, Air India and United Airlines have a star alliance flight going through London and Chicago that is available for only $2250, this is a great option to save a significant sum of money.  Right now, the cheapest option in the market is Cathay Pacific but they have yet to load their complete 2023 schedule.  As these flights come into the system, we expect them to be popular and also help reduce prices on other flights.

Overall, there has been good news for customers looking for a cheap India flight now and into the future.  Prices have slowly started to come down in all areas including the direct flights and new options by Cathay Pacific.  In addition, the announcement by the Canadian and Indian federal governments should have a large impact on prices over the medium and long term which is good for any customer looking to buy a cheap flight to India.
