Bookings to India Rise as New China Flights Not Available

For those looking to purchase a cheap flight to India from Canada in the next few weeks, there has been some recent news that could change your outlook.  While many people have been waiting for the Chinese Airlines to announce their schedules quickly, we continue to be in a holding pattern.  Those who have been waiting have now decided that they cannot take any more time and have decided to book their flight to India.

In the past 7 days, we have seen a return to normal booking patterns for Canada to India flights that we typically see from Vancouver during this time of the year, but that might be changing again soon.

China Eastern has finally announced direct flights from Shanghai to Delhi.  In years past, this was an extremely popular route for those who wanted to travel from Vancouver to Delhi.  While this route has been announced and it is available to book on the web, it is not widely available yet, and it only operates 3 times per week.

While this is the news we have been waiting for, without a connection to the flights departing from Vancouver, it will be some time before Canadians can enjoy a cheap flight to India on this route.  We are finally seeing the ramp that most have been desperately waiting for, and it should quickly reduce prices in the medium term.

Those who are traveling in the next few weeks, it is time to make a decision, as it is unlikely that November and December departures will be impacted by these flights, as there is a significant amount of work to be done in Canada and India before we see any cheap flights approaching what was available in 2019.

For passengers departing from Toronto who are travelling to Delhi and want to purchase a cheap India flight, they are once again finding that their best option is to travel on Ethiopian Airlines via Addis Ababa.  Africa’s largest carrier is finding that by offering low prices, they are securing a significant piece of the market that it hasn’t in previous years.  Their cheap India flights are available for purchase for only $1209, including all taxes and fees!

If you want to travel on the direct Air Canada flight, it will cost you significantly more; it is available for $2199.  While the convenience and service of Air Canada’s direct flight is always great, it does come at a big cost, and there are other options, including Air Canada flights via Montreal that can save you money!

For passengers departing from Vancouver to India, right now, the cheapest flight in the market is on Qatar Airlines via the United States.  While many people do not like the fact that they have an extra stop, it is a great way to secure a cheap flight to India.  Flights on Qatar Airlines are available for only $1359!  For those who want to fly with Air India, who always have the most popular flight from Vancouver to New Delhi, you can fly on the same dates for $2199, which is a significant amount to pay for their 1-stop flight.

We are finally starting to see the Chinese carriers input their schedules into the system for China-India direct flights, but as this is only the start of the push, it will still be some time before customers can secure cheap India flights on these carriers.  Due to these reasons, we have started to see customers once again booking airlines like Air India because they cannot wait any longer to see if the Chinese carriers enter the market.  Overall, now is the time to book your cheap flight to India!
