In the past week we continue to see more arrivals from India on special India flights setup by the Indian government. Most of these flights were operated by Air India, but SpiceJet also operated a few charter flights to Toronto. Many customers would like to come back to Canada on the direct Delhi to Toronto Air Canada flight but the price is a bit on the high side, and they are only allowing a single piece of checked baggage on most ticket purchases. Whereas, the SpiceJet and Air India repatriation flights are allowing two pieces of checked baggage which is making a big difference on what people decide to take.
Rules and regulations continue to evolve, and there are specific forms that need to be filled out for travel on any flights in either direction. It is important that you understand the information required to board the flight, and ensure that you have the proper documentation as well when traveling between Canada and India right now.
