China and India to Resume Direct Flights!

If you are looking to purchase a cheap flight to India, there has been massive news this week!  India and China have made a deal to resume direct flights between the two countries.  India and China have not had direct flights since the beginning of the COVID pandemic.  When India and China had direct flights, such as those offered by China Eastern, Air China, and China Southern, flights were the cheapest from Canada to India.  This bodes when for your ability to get a cheap flight to India!

While currently Canada does not have a significant number of flights from here to China, that seems to be changing.  Last week, China Eastern announced that it would once again be flying two direct flights from Vancouver to Shanghai.  While that is only a start, if their schedule ramps up and if they get rights to fly from Shanghai to Delhi, it will mean cheap India flights for a huge number of people!  It may have taken longer than anyone would have hoped, but things are moving forward, and everything looks as if there will be cheap flights to India again!

There is a small chance that this winter we could once again see round trip flights available for under $1000, this would be a massive change for what we have been dealing with for the last 5 years! Hopefully, this change occurs, and we will once again see plenty of cheap India flights available for sale!

Passengers who are departing from Toronto to Delhi and who want to secure a cheap flight to India have a new leading candidate to choose from!  Air Canada with their partner United Airlines, is offering flights to India starting from $1269!  You can fly from Toronto to New York on United Airlines and catch their direct flight to Delhi and return via Air Canada’s direct flight from Delhi to Toronto, all for one amazing price!

If you want to fly on the direct flight both ways, Air India is still the way to go, you can fly on their direct service from Toronto to Delhi for only $1875, which is a great option if you want a cheap flight to New Delhi!

For any passenger that is flying from Vancouver to India, Air Canada and United Airlines option is continues to lead the way!  For only $1299, there are flights available from Vancouver to Delhi via New York and Montreal. It is a beautiful option to save lots of money and secure a cheap flight to India!  If you want to pay a few hundred dollars more, you can enjoy the convenience of Air India’s direct flight option, which is available for only $1875!!

The big news this week is that India and China have made a deal to finally allow direct flights between the two countries.  If this goes ahead as planned, you should expect cheap India flights later this year!  If the flights from China to India start this year it will take time for them to ramp up to have a huge impact on the situation for this India booking season, so it won’t make sense to take the risk and hope for cheap flights to India via China and book something soon before prices from Canada to India go up!
