China Eastern Offering Cheap India Flights from Vancouver!

This week, most of the news regarding flights to India is on the negative side of things.  Many airlines are reducing flights all over the world, and India is no longer the exception.  Air India has announced a 15% cut to its global fleet.  While Canada’s cuts were expected and already announced last week, this latest round will impact other destinations, which will include both international and domestic flights.

The impact of rising fuel prices is being felt for all airlines, and with Air India struggling to make a profit in good times, this newest hit has forced them to rethink their international growth plans.  While this is most likely a temporary solution, it will take time to reinstate many of these flights.  With all that being said, both Toronto and Vancouver continue to provide high revenue, so most likely we will not see future cuts and should see cheap India flights in the Fall!

In other India news, Air Canada has decided that it will no longer fly from Toronto to Bombay via London.  Air Canada has tried multiple ways to make flights via London work with Calgary to Delhi via London last year, and this flight from Toronto for the last 3 years.  Unfortunately, due to high fuel costs and landing fees associated with Heathrow Airport, Air Canada has decided that this route is no longer feasible and will not be on the schedule for the Fall of 2026.

One positive item that we can provide is that customers continue to book early for the Fall of 2026 to lock in a cheap India flight!  As some airlines are providing amazing advance purchase pricing, there is a significant group who want to secure their India flight now!  A major reason for booking in advance is that if fuel prices continue to rise, it won’t impact a booking that is made today and will protect you from future fuel surcharges.  This is a major market shift, and it is the best way to secure a cheap flight to India!

For any passengers who are ready to book this Fall for a flight from Toronto to New Delhi, Cathay Pacific is your best option to secure a cheap flight to India.  Cathay Pacific has a significant amount of capacity flying to many cities in India, which allows them to provide a cheap flight to India!  Right now, you can fly with them for only $1679!  As most customers would rather avoid this long route from Toronto, they love the direct flight option from Air Canada.  To fly on Air Canada’s direct flight, you are looking at a cost of $2099, while the difference is significant, the total flying time is only 14 hours, as compared to 23 hours on Cathay Pacific that is significant.

Passengers departing from Vancouver also have a new option that provides a cheap India flight!  China Eastern’s rock bottom Vancouver to Delhi flight is available for an amazing $959 return, including all taxes!  While the connection times require an overnight, the price is so low it can easily cover the cost of a hotel!  For customers who want to fly with Air India, it will set you back $1999.  The price is low for Air India’s usual offer, but it is almost double China Eastern’s offer.

The news this week for India flights has been mixed, with many airlines reducing flights due to the increase in fuel prices. Airlines like China Eastern are bucking the trend by offering rock-bottom prices!  As competition starts to heat up for the Fall, we are starting to see new bookings as customers lock in a cheap India flight!
