Customers Wait For the Next Round of India Seat Sales

If you are looking for cheap flights to India and the latest updates on everything happening on Canada to India flights you have come to the right place!  There are two big pieces of news that occurred in the last 7 days.  First Air India has implemented its policy of providing only 1 free checked bag on its cheapest flights from Canada to India.  You can still include a 2nd free bag on your ticket purchase, but it will cost you $40 more each way which is quite affordable as compared to other carriers.

In addition, Air Canada has moved in the other direction as they are now allowing 2 free checked-in bags for Canada to India flights on their Flex fares.  While the upgrade from Standard to Flex fares is usually around $200 they now include seating and 2 checked-in bags, this is a huge difference from how Air Canada was pricing flights from Vancouver to Delhi and Toronto to Delhi.  The fact that Flex fares include two free bags on the ticket will be a big change and will also simplify the process for those who need more baggage.  Previous to the change you had to add a bag after purchase either on Air Canada’s website or during the check-in process which was cumbersome and costly.

Both of these changes mean that Air Canada and Air India are now more closely aligned with their baggage policies even though these two decisions were taken independently of each other.  Overall this is great news for those who want to purchase a cheap flight to India!

For passengers who want to travel from Toronto to Delhi and access a cheap India flight, your best option right now is the Air Canada flight via Montreal with a return on United via New York.  This Air Canada flight option has remained the lowest-priced option to India for a few weeks, with prices as low as $ 1,399.  If you want to fly on a direct flight from Toronto to Delhi, your best option right now is with Air Canada, with flights starting from $2049.  This is a big change as Air India usually has the lowest price, but with their seat last week, did do quite well to fill up their flights!

Passengers departing from Vancouver to India continue to find the lowest prices this summer on Air India!  Even with the seat sale in the past India’s national carrier has the most number of seats available on their direct service to New Delhi.  With Air India providing low prices and a great schedule, if you need to travel to India this Summer, now is the right time to book!

With Air Canada & Air India both making changes to their baggage policy this week, the news is mixed.  Those who were used to having two free bags included on their Air India flight might be disappointed except for the fact they may have more luck securing a cheap flight to India.  Those who wanted the option on Air Canada to include 2 free bags are in luck as that is finally an option.
