Huge Number of Last Minute Flight Bookings to India

In the past 7 days, we have seen large numbers of last-minute bookings.  There has been a group of people who had been waiting for prices to drop.

When that didn’t happen, they have been forced to pay substantially more for their Canada to India airline ticket.

The trend this year favoured those who purchased early despite the relatively high prices.  Customers who were hoping that seat sales would start late in the year were disappointed because heavy demand combined with less capacity contributed to higher prices this year.

Those who are asking prices now for the fall are also wondering when is the right time to book to get a cheap flight to India next busy season.  There are a few factors at play for the Canadian market.  The most important change that we will probably see is a re-entrance of Chinese carriers into this market.  In addition, we will find out if the pent-up demand that was seen in North America and Europe will continue to keep prices high or if customers will determine they will stay home in the next few months.  If prices demand softens overseas due to the economy or other factors you will see them quickly reduce prices, especially for the Canada-to-India market which will once again allow you to find a cheap flight to India.

There are more passengers than there are available seats to airlines need to decide what area to focus on to drive profits.  In most cases, they will look towards India as a strong international market which will hopefully mean more options and cheaper India flights for you.

Passengers who are planning to depart to India from Toronto in the new few weeks and months are finding prices on the direct flight on Air India is where they are most likely to book.  To depart in the next few weeks, you are looking for $3150, once again those who want to save money are purchasing tickets on American Airlines via New York as this is available for only $2000 which is a huge saving when compared to Canada.  Customers looking to purchase a cheap flight to India are stopping via New York.

Prices departing from Vancouver to India are even higher than those out of Toronto due to the lack of competition, most customers are continuing to use the Air India direct flight.  The price for the direct flight from Vancouver to Delhi in February is pricing close to $3600.  As most customers cannot afford such a high price, they are looking at options to find a cheap flight to India.  While some customers are opting for Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong, we have many more travelling to Seattle where they are finding much better prices allowing them to get their cheap flight to India.
