KLM and Air France Have Added New Flights to India!

If you are looking to buy a cheap Winter flight to India now is the time to book!  Prices are falling for air tickets after December 31st!  In the past few weeks, customers have been looking for a reason to make their final decision on Canada to India flights in the New Year.  KLM and Air France have just made a big move to help you on your quest to find a cheap flight to India!

The European carrier group with hubs in Amsterdam and Paris has just announced a significant increase in its schedule from both cities. It will be adding 11 new weekly flights to India to the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. With KLM and Air France allowing you to mix and match between them, these new options and increased capacity will allow you to find a cheap flight to India! 

So far in 2024, KLM and Air France have been very aggressive in trying to secure the largest market share from Vancouver and Toronto to New Delhi. Now, with the announcement of these new flights, there will be more opportunity for them to lower their prices even further. With demand for India continuing to skyrocket, we expect more airlines to add capacity as soon as possible.

In less positive news Air India has been forced to cancel some of their Winter schedule due to the lack of aircraft.  As many of their aircraft are showing their age, they are requiring frequent maintenance which is taking them out of service next year.  While Canada has not been impacted so far, the reduction in capacity could have an impact on your ability to secure a cheap India flight on Air India.

If you are a passenger departing from Toronto to New Delhi there is a new airline providing a cheap India flight this week!  Emirates Airlines has dropped their fare and they are now available to book this Winter for only $1730.  The drop in price on Emirates Airlines shows the competition is heating up for India flights this Winter as they normally price themselves as a premium carrier.

Passengers who want a direct flight from Toronto to Delhi are also in luck as Air India is available for only $1880.  With only $150 separating Air India and the lowest price option on Emirates, India’s national carrier is the most likely winner of your business!

Any passengers departing from Vancouver to Delhi have a new option as Lufthansa has drastically reduced their prices for departures in February.  While this option only allows 1 free checked back, it is available for only $1700 which is a massive reduction on what the Lufthansa, Air Canada partnership was offering only a few months back.  Lufthansa has finally decided to make up for the reduced baggage by offering a lower price!

As most customers from Vancouver are hoping to secure a cheap India flight on Air India, they will be forced to a pay significant premium in February with prices starting from $2500.  With other carriers competing so heavily Air India may be forced to lower their price allowing you to get a cheap India flight!

Overall, it has been a great week if you want to buy a cheap India ticket this Winter from Toronto or Vancouver.  Prices are dropping on certain carriers and competition continues to increase.  With not much time remaining before the New Year now is the time to secure a cheap flight to India.
