Lots of Postive Changes for India Flights in January 2026!

The number of changes that occurred in 2025 was significant, with some unfortunate incidents leading to the closure of Pakistan’s airspace for Air India and forcing them to stop in Calcutta on their flights from Canada to more positive developments, such as Japan Airlines flying from Narita to Delhi, allowing a great connection to Delhi from Vancouver.

Another significant development expected in 2026 is that British Airways will most likely launch a new flight from London to New Delhi.  While the UK’s national carrier already operates a twice-daily service, the addition of a new flight will significantly increase capacity on this extremely popular route.

The additional capacity provided by British Airways will enable flights from Vancouver and Toronto to Delhi to connect to this new option, providing affordable India flights from Canada.  British Airways has always been an extremely popular flight option for travellers going from Vancouver & Toronto to Delhi. However, with the addition of this service, prices will be lowered, making these flights via London a more affordable way to secure a cheap India flight.

Anyone who is planning to travel from Toronto to New Delhi in the New Year is in luck.  The code share partnership between Air Canada and Air India is providing cheap India flights for you!  This week the best option is to travel via Montreal on the outbound with Air Canada and via Paris with Air India and Air Canada on the return.  This is the first time we have seen a great option from a city other than London with this new codeshare agreement, and we expect further options as time goes on.  This amazing departure is available for only $1399, which is a cheap India flight for sure!

For those who want to stick with the Air Canada direct flight, it will cost significantly more, with prices starting from $2500.  If you are able to spend more time in the air, it will allow you to get a cheap flight to India!

Passengers who are departing from Vancouver and going to India have an even better option than those flying from Toronto.  Air India has significantly decreased the price on their Delhi route, with prices available for only $1729.  This is the lowest price we have seen in quite some time on the most popular option for Vancouver to India travel.  If you want to buy a cheap flight to India, now is the time to book!

Overall, with customers slowing down purchases over the holiday season, many airlines have decided now is the time to stimulate the market before the big push comes in January.  For those who can take the time, now is a great window to buy a cheap India flight!
