New Air India Flights to the United States

Are you looking to buy a cheap flight to India?  Now is the time to book for the fall and winter of the 2024/2025 season.  While many people are busy enjoying their summers, we are starting to see those who are planning ahead already purchasing their India tickets.  Many airlines have already moved past this summer’s travel season and are looking forward to filling their flights for the fall.  In most cases, airlines struggle to keep their flights full during the September to March travel period as students are in school, but they will be moving to use India flights to keep travel strong.

One item that will hopefully reduce prices even further is that Air India has announced that they will be starting new services from Los Angeles and Dallas to New Delhi.  While these flights are not coming directly to Canada any new seats will reduce the demand for seats in Canada.  In addition, there is a chance that Air India’s partner airlines Air Canada and United may offer connections from Toronto and Vancouver which will create a new option from these cities to India.

The focus on India this year will mean there will be strong competition for flights to India.  With so many options via Europe including Air Canada, Lufthansa, Air India, Swiss Airways, Air France, KLM, LOT Polish, Qatar, Emirates and now even Virgin Airways there will be a strong incentive to keep prices low in order to stimulate the market.  We are already seeing cheap India flights that we have not seen since 2019.

Already we are seeing a stronger booking pattern than we saw last year due to the lower prices in the market, but with all of the new competition in the market, we hope to see lower prices as well.  As we are only two weeks away from the beginning of the India booking season those who book now might be making a good decision to lock in their cheap flights to India.

Passengers departing from Toronto to Delhi are finding some great fares and once again they are on the Delta, Air France, and KLM group of airlines.  You can find prices starting from only $1649, but these basic fares only include 1 piece of free checked baggage.  As usual, Air India is quite popular, but they are now pricing at $2000 for the same fall dates.  The fact that Air India is a direct flight and offers two free bags does make up for the fact that they are a few hundred dollars more, but all this shows that there are cheap India flights available from Toronto to India now and this should continue into the fall!

If you are leaving from Vancouver, there are some cheap flight prices to Delhi this fall.  As usual Delta, Air France and KLM are leading the pack with prices starting from an amazing $1379!  We have not seen a price this low for years.  Now is the time to book if you want a cheap flight to India!  If you are looking for the direct flight on Air India’s 787 Dreamliner it is available on the same dates for $1896.  While Air India is more expensive the fact that it offers the convenience of a direct flight makes a huge difference in taking its share of the business.

Once again, we are finally seeing cheap flights to India.  It has been years since we have seen the availability of such low fares to India and Delhi specifically from Canada. With the Chinese carriers out of the India market for the foreseeable future, we are finally seeing the European carriers picking up the slack.  All of the increased competition is having a huge difference in your ability to secure a cheap flight to India!
