- Pardesi Synagogue: Built in 1568, this synagogue was partially destroyed by the Portuguese in 1662, but was rebuilt two years later when the Dutch took Kochi (Cochin).
- Mattancherry Palace: Was gifted to the Raja of Kochi, Veera Kerala Varma (1537–61). It was as a gesture of goodwill by the Portuguese in 1555. Later, the Dutch renovated the palace in 1663. The main attractions here are the Hindu murals, depicting scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranic legends in great detail.
- Hill Palace Museum: Located at Tripunithura, 14km southeast of Ernakulam. It is a 49-building palace complex, and was the residence of the Kochi royal family. It now showcases the collections of the royal families, as well as 19th-century oil paintings, sculptures and paintings, old coins, jewellery and temple models.
