Lower Prices Available on your Canada to India Flights!

Customers who are looking to buy a cheap flight to India this winter are finally seeing some lower prices both here in Vancouver and Toronto.  Due to the political situation in the Middle East, airlines from that area are competing more heavily in the Indian market.  Specifically, Turkish airlines have dropped their airfare significantly causing the competition to react with lower airfare to India.

In addition, the new service from Air Canada to Dubai is providing additional capacity and now lower-priced options are using connecting carriers like Emirates, Fly Dubai and Air India to New Delhi and other cities in India.  For the first time since the end of COVID, it seems like there are finally options with lower prices due to falling demand which is great if you want to secure a cheap flight to India this fall!

In other India flight news, Air India has started to receive their new aircraft and they expect to receive one every week for the next 12 months.  As the ramp-up for aircraft delivery increases pace, we expect great news for both the Vancouver and Toronto routes.  Right now, brand-new aircraft are being allocated to routes in the United States, but within the next few months, there will be aircraft available for both the Vancouver and Toronto routes.  Once we receive the new airplanes, we will finally have a beautiful Air India option from both Vancouver and Toronto to Delhi!

It has been a long time coming for Air India to provide Canada with new airplanes as the workhorse Dreamliners are starting to show their age.  Most likely both the Vancouver and Toronto direct to New Delhi service will receive Airbus A350’s to replace the existing Boeing product.  Air India has yet to commit this aircraft to Canada, but the fact that we continue to provide significant revenue to Air India bodes well for our ability to secure the new planes on our routes.

For those looking to purchase a ticket now for the winter of 2024 from Toronto to Delhi, Air India is priced at $2500 which is a small decrease from previous weeks.  The direct service from Air India is proving to be very popular because of its convenience and the very important fact that it provides two free bags as compared to only one offered by its direct service competitor Air Canada.

For those looking to save money, Etihad has the lowest price in the market right now, but only by a few hundred dollars which is not enough to shift the market with the added flight time.  There are those where this option makes sense especially if you need to get a cheap India flight because you are travelling in a small group of three or four people.

If you are looking for a cheap India flight from Vancouver, Air India will set you back around $2400.  While it is not the cheapest flight to India in the market, it is by far the most popular.  The great schedule and included two bags make it the main driver of India business from Vancouver.  For those looking to save a good chunk of money the new Air Canada route to Dubai is proving to be a great option.  Right now, you can fly with Air Canada via Montreal on the outbound and with Emirates and Air Canada via Dubai on the return for only $1773!  This is a great price and one that we have not seen from Air Canada from Western Canada for a very long time.  While this fare only includes one free bag, it is a cheap India flight from Vancouver!

For the first time in quite a while, we are seeing cheaper fares from Canada to India.  It has been a long wait but as capacity continues to increase and demand slowly declines the major airlines are beginning to compete more heavily for India bookings.  While we do hope that prices continue to fall, we are finally seeing more cheap India flights from both Vancouver and Toronto, but that could change if more potential passengers take advantage of these prices.
