A Big Rush of India Bookings After Diplomatic Issues Resolved!

With all of the issues that occurred in the fall for Canada to India travel, there was a severe drop in flight bookings.  Now that visa restrictions have been lifted and diplomatic relations between Canada and India seem to have improved, we are seeing a big rush of bookings for this winter.  The fact that some customers who wanted to travel from Canada to India in the fall were unable to, many are now travelling this winter, in addition, some travellers who were always planning to fly this winter held off on booking as they needed to ensure they would receive their visa for India.  Finally, due to the lack of bookings this fall there are cheap India flights available!  All of these items combined have had a strong impact on rising India bookings in the past 7 days.

In other flight news, Air India has changed its order with Airbus to give it more flexibility as the airline changes its structure to better compete on the worldwide stage.  The changes will give Air India a smaller version of the Airbus A350 as Air India has decided that the smaller capacity and better fuel efficiency are more important than having only the biggest planes of the A350 variants.  While this will most likely not have a huge impact on North America or Air India in general it proves that the new management is continuing to look closely at the India travel market and make adjustments as necessary.  These prudent decisions are great news and they will mean better service and cheap India flights in the long term.

Also, a significant change that could help lower prices for Canada to India flights is the Canadian government has increased restrictions on student traffic.  Students make up a huge part of the India-to-Canada travel market and now they will have to face new rules that will mean they need to have more money when coming to Canada which will probably stop some from coming at all.  In addition, the government is tightening up the rules on the education facilities themselves to make sure they are providing a quality program which will also raise costs.  While this may not be great news for students, it should mean cheap India flights next year!

Passengers departing from Toronto are looking for cheap flights to India continue to give the Delta Airlines, Air France and KLM group a big chunk of the business.  As the airline group continues to offer the cheapest flight to India from Toronto with fares starting from only $1709.  As many passengers continue to opt for direct flight, Air India is offering fares starting from $2590 while Air Canada is selling at almost the same price of $2641.  As there is a significant spread in the market between KLM and the direct service between Toronto and New Delhi customers are focusing on getting a cheap flight to India even if it means travelling with a stop.

Customers leaving from Vancouver are enjoying cheap flights to India that have not been available for a very long time!  The KLM, Air France group continues to provide great prices for Vancouver to Delhi flights!  Prices have remained the same at $1490 which is vastly lower than we have seen a long time, which is the best option if you are looking for a cheap India flight from Vancouver.  Once again Air India is also very popular as they are the only direct service available to New Delhi from Vancouver.  Air India is also significantly cheaper than pricing out East with prices starting from only $2127.

Overall, quite a bit of news for Canada to India flights this week, with most of it positive for those travelling from Canada to India.  The new rules set out by the Canadian government will almost certainly reduce student traffic, while this is not great for those wanting to study here, but it will allow for cheap India flights from Canada to India.  We can be already starting to see prices drop and we expect that trend to continue moving forward.
