Confidence Rises as We See a Big Spike in India Bookings!

Now that it has been a couple of weeks with almost everything back to normal from a Canada to India travel perspective the pace of winter bookings in 2024 continues to rise.  As confidence of Canadian travellers grows as evidenced by the continued increase in bookings since the visa issue has been resolved.  While the increase in bookings is good news for the airlines it is making it more difficult to secure a cheap India flight except for one group of carriers who is ramping up the competition for India flights!

KLM and Air France have decided that now is the time to push as hard as they can to grow their market share this winter.  Flights from Vancouver are available for an unheard-of $1475!  We have not seen prices dip this low for years.  This means that there is finally a lack of demand for certain carriers and that means cheap India flights for you!  As demand from Vancouver is much less than from Toronto the same ticket will cost $300 more out East.  The softening of the market should mean lower prices to India in the coming weeks and months as the airlines are now finding that they cannot charge extremely high prices on flight tickets to New Delhi!

The lower-priced tickets have created new demand so we expect more people to be pushed to make bookings now, but space is limited so these prices may not last too long!

Passengers who are departing from Toronto to India in the next few weeks are flocking to the Air France and KLM group of airlines.  Looking for the cheapest flight to India via Paris on Air France or Amsterdam on KLM it’s the best way to get to India right now.  We are finding prices available for as low as $1775 which is almost as low as customers were paying in 2019.  If this trend continues there might be further discounts with prices low enough to compete with what you paid 4 or 5 years ago.  If you flying from Toronto to Delhi now is the time to pay close attention, so make sure you don’t miss out on a deal for a cheap flight to India.

If you are leaving Vancouver to New Delhi and you want the cheapest flight option to India then now is the time to book!  The option of KLM for only $1475 is significantly lower than we have seen recently.  At this price point, small groups can travel together again as prices that are over $2000 are too expensive to justify more than 1 family member going to any event in India.  We do expect a significant number of customers who have been asking about prices for months to finally make a decision and book their cheap flight to India!  If you are a single traveller Air India is still very popular because the higher cost has less of an impact when it’s only one.

If you want the convenience of taking the direct flight on Air India from Vancouver to Delhi then you will most likely pay over $2000 as there is still significant demand on this flight.
