Cheap Flights for India are Available in 2024!

Welcome to 2024 and our continual updates on our cheap India flights blog!  As we enter the New Year not much has changed in the last week except for the significant weather issues in Delhi.  Cold air has created consistent fog for the last 10 days impacting schedules on international flights from India.  Air India for example has been delayed leaving New Delhi on both their Vancouver and Toronto flights for all of the last 10 days.  While the fog tends to occur every year, this has been an especially bad cycle with the weather refusing to cooperate.  With all the delays and full flights, it has created some problems for passengers, but we have seen these issues in the past and they will likely re-occur from time to time in the next couple of months.

In more positive news Air India has started taking bookings for their brand new A350 on domestic flights.  These new airplanes are a game-changer for the national carrier as they will allow them to expand routes and retire older aircraft with high fuel burn and maintenance problems.  As the expectation is that Air India will continue to receive new airplanes every week for the next 12 months, this will be one of the most important years for the national carrier of India.

As we move into 2024 and the end of the peak travel season for Canada to India flights, we expect a big jump in bookings over the first few weeks of January.  With the increase in bookings, we are seeing a slight jump in airfares as well.  Right now, for passengers flying from Toronto to Delhi the best flight continues to be Air France with their flight via Paris with prices starting from $1769.  If you want to fly with Air India which is offering their direct flight it is available for only $2209 which means the spread between the two carriers has shrunk considerably.  If you are planning to book a cheap flight to India from Toronto to Delhi now is the time to book.

For passengers departing from Vancouver travelling to India, Air France and KLM continue to lead the way for the lowest price options.  Travelling via Amsterdam on KLM and Paris via Air France on your return starts from $1850 which is a significant increase from the last few weeks and now fares from Vancouver are higher than those from Toronto which is not great if you wait to buy a cheap flight to India.  The good news on Vancouver flights is that Air India has not raised their prices so now you can fly on the direct flight from Vancouver to Delhi for only $2240.

As we expect January to be another busy time for Canada to India flight bookings now is the time to secure your cheap flight to India.  With so little time before the weather changes in India, if you are planning a trip to Delhi, you must not wait longer to book as prices will most likely rise as we face the last rush of the booking season!
