Cheaper Flights for Canada to India Now Available!

Passengers who have been waiting for a cheap ticket to India can finally purchase last-minute flights for a great price!  While the airlines tried their best to keep prices high, we are starting to see some cheap India flights for September departures.

While they are not as low as they were in 2019, they are much cheaper than they have been in months, especially as we head into the peak travel season for India.  With the kids returning to school in the next few weeks we have seen a big jump in bookings, but most airlines have decided that they still need to reduce prices to stimulate the required demand.  It looks like for the first time since the end of COVID some carriers are concerned that they will not have enough passengers to fill their flights, which means cheap India flights for you.

We are now seeing passengers able to buy flights on direct flights to India in the peak festival season for as low as $2500, only a few weeks ago airlines were attempting to sell flights during this period for $3200.  What this means is that for those who waited for prices to drop, now is the time to book your cheap flight to India.  If we see a significant rush of bookings in the next few weeks, then many airlines will raise prices again, if you are planning a trip to India this fall now is the time to book as summer ends and prices are finally dropping.

In addition to prices dropping Air India has announced a refresh of their cabin interiors.  As India’s national carriers plays an outsized role in Canada to India air traffic, this is welcome news.  The refresh will also include a new premium economy cabin along with a full interior refit.  With the timeline starting in early 2024, hopefully, we will see the new Air India within 1 year for both Vancouver and Toronto India flights, but there is a small chance that we could see something even earlier.  With the market dominance Air India has especially on the Vancouver to Delhi market, we are extremely hopeful that this change will happen sooner rather than later.

For passengers departing from Toronto in the next few weeks, there are some great options for your flights to India.

Right now, Toronto to New Delhi flights on Swiss Air and Air Canada are available from $1570.  The option via Zurich gets you a great price and puts you on the very popular Air Canada direct flight from Delhi to Toronto on the return.

For those who want to stick to the Air India direct flight because they include two free bags, this is much higher for similar dates at $2337, still cheap India flights are finally available from Toronto.

Clients departing from the Vancouver market are also enjoying lower prices to India than we have seen in months.  Right now, you can leave in early September on Air India’s direct flight for only $1449, this is a massive discount from the price being offered only a few weeks ago.  In addition to these low prices on Air India, there are also cheap India tickets available on Swiss Air and Air Canada via Zurich and Montreal.  This combination can be purchased for only $1522 in early September.  While these dates for great prices are only a few weeks away, those who are willing to buy a last-minute ticket to India will save some money.

We are finally seeing some lower prices so customers can find cheap India flights. While prices are higher than they were in 2019 due to the lack of competition they have fallen from their peak in the last few weeks.  While we do expect some more volatility in the fall and winter India booking season, customers are now buying India flights in significant volumes due to the recent price drops.  If you have not booked your cheap India flight yet, now is the time to do it!
